The Brief

In collaboration with The Earth Museum and Gosport and Fareham Multi Academy Trust, we have introduced to the curriculum a fun web-based app that will calculate a students contribution to the planet’s greenhouse gases.

Students in KS3 and KS4 will be tasked to measure aspects of their current carbon footprint using the app.

Project Overview

Students can monitor their progress through the dashboard and enter each subject area answering a series of questions to calculate their monthly carbon footprint. 

Complying with GDPR and Safeguarding legal requirements the app provides a secure authentication system that stores no personal data. Data stored from a student’s input is aggregated as an anonymised dataset for collective reporting purposes.
